An intriguing fan-made concept starring Dainsleif, one of the story’s most enigmatic characters, was recently shared by a Genshin Impact player. This one-of-a-kind individual has made brief appearances in a few quests, and they are widely considered to be a pivotal figure in the game’s final act.

In a trailer released in September of 2020, Genshin Impact confirmed that Dainsleif would join the roster at some point. With the current storyline focusing on the new Sumeru region and its Dendro Archon, Nahida (also known as Lesser Lord Kusanali), it’s highly unlikely that Dain will become a playable character.

After becoming a god in Teyvat, Dainsleif’s possible appearance is depicted in a new post on the official Genshin Impact subreddit. CWHardKnight, a Reddit user, has posted an impressive concept showing this enigmatic character at his most formidable. The post with the fan art received over 2,000 upvotes, with many players saying they would rather have this version of Dain in their roster. He used to lead the Royal Guard of Khaenri’ah, the notorious region that rebelled against the Teyvat gods, and now he’s a famous rebel leader.

The destruction of Khaenri’ah 500 years ago during the cataclysm gave rise to the Abyss Order, one of the two main antagonistic groups in Genshin Impact alongside the Fatui group. Each member of the Order is a mysterious and terrifying monster with elemental powers. Even though he is originally from Khaenri’ah, Dainsleif is fighting against the Abyss, as revealed by Lumine and Aether during the “We Will Be Reunited” quest. This raises the possibility that Dainsleif will turn evil in the future.

Fans are crossing their fingers that HoYoverse will add Dainsleif to the roster sooner rather than later after Wanderer’s shocking announcement. Like Dain, Wanderer, formerly known as Scaramouche, plays a significant role in the plot of Genshin Impact, leading many to mistake him for a final boss.

But it seems that his participation in the ongoing Sumeru storyline will win over the famous Balladeer’s favor. According to the official live stream event for Genshin Impact version 3.3, Wanderer will arrive in just a few days after receiving his own boss domain in update 3.2. Along with the new four-star character Faruzan and the five-star Geo user Arataki Itto, he will be featured in the first banner cycle.
