Starfield Composer Announces US Concert With Symphony

Starfield’s veteran composer, Inon Zur, has announced that he will be playing the soundtrack this month with a full orchestra. For Bethesda fans, November is a bitter month because the developer’s science fiction RPG was supposed to be released by now. Despite this, many are still looking forward to the game’s release because it will bridge the gap until The Elder Scrolls 6 is released and is the first new IP from the Maryland studio in a quarter of a century.

Many players attribute Bethesda’s games’ epic reputation to the stunning graphics and equally impressive soundtracks. Since Fallout 3, Inon Zur has composed music for the series. He has also worked on the soundtracks for Dragon Age, Crysis, and the video game version of James Cameron’s Avatar. His history speaks for itself, and thus it is comforting to know that the musical aspects of Starfield are in excellent hands; the Los Angeles area will shortly host the US premiere of the Starfield suite.

Zur, who composed the soundtrack for Starfield, announced its upcoming performance through Twitter, noting that it would take place at The Soraya in Los Angeles on November 20 at 7 PM PST. Concert organiser and LAJS co-founder Dr. Noreen Green will be conducting. LAJS was established in 1994. Tickets are on sale today at the venue for anybody who is interested. Due to the lack of live streaming, spectators will need to be physically there in order to attend the show.

On the most recent episode of the Gamertag Radio podcast, Zur was talked about the music that influenced him and his time spent working with Todd Howard and the rest of the crew at Bethesda. The composer went on to say that Starfield’s bold exploration of existential questions like life’s origins and humanity’s future is something he aspired to capture in the score.

The game’s official release date has yet to be announced, but Microsoft has stated that Starfield will arrive after Redfall, another Bethesda game. However, this doesn’t completely narrow it down, since the latter was postponed at the same time as the former. Both games are expected to drop in the first half of 2023, so we should learn more about them shortly.
