A fan of the Assassin’s Creed video game series finds a cool Easter egg referencing that series in an unexpected part of Skyrim. There are a tonne of hidden references to other games and media in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. In addition to the aforementioned works, this list also has Minecraft, Portal 2, The Lord of the Rings, and many more.

The most recent Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, made over a billion dollars in sales in the weeks after its release, making the series one of the most lucrative in the gaming business. Thus, it shouldn’t be too surprising that The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has a fun nod to the series’ extensive history.

There is a video of a player called Abiesarus completing a leap of faith from Bard’s Leap Summit in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Abiesarus takes a huge leap into a body of water, only to be met by the ghost of a man named Azzadal, who laments the fact that no one has ever done so and lived to tell the tale. Azzadal says he once gave a performance at the peak of Bard’s Leap before taking a fatal leap of faith, but it seems he did not make it. The ghost then takes out an instrument, plays a melody, and then disappears.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim’s Bard’s Leap Summit is little more than a wooden plank above Lost Valley Redoubt, yet it may do wonders for a player’s Speech level. Jumping many times will not result in additional extra points for the player. Gaining access to better deals and the ability to persuade Skyrim guards to dismiss their offences are just two of the many helpful perks found in the Speech skill tree.

It would seem that many players in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim immediately leaped when they saw this spot. Fans said they were unable to resist taking a leap of faith, despite the fact that they often failed and had to reload a prior save in order to complete it successfully. Some people used the Become Ethereal Skyrim yell just before they jumped, preventing any harm from the fall.

In the Assassin’s Creed games, characters may make a leap of faith after syncing with an Eagle Point, therefore this leap from the wooden board is an obvious allusion to that mechanic. You may find Assassin’s Creed Easter eggs in games other than Skyrim as well, like Apex Legends, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and more.
