New Rainbow Six Siege Trailer Reveals NieR Replicant Crossover
Ubisoft has unveiled the NieR Replicant crossover in a new teaser for Rainbow Six Siege. The partnership will bring the visual style of Square Enix’s newest gaming brand to Ubisoft’s tactical shooter, and it’s just the beginning of what’s to come.

New Rainbow Six Siege Trailer Reveals NieR Replicant Crossover
Developed and published by Ubisoft in 2015, Rainbow Six Siege is a tactical first-person shooter. Two teams of five players compete to be the first to explode or diffuse the bomb or eliminate the other team from the game. The precursor game NieR Replicant to NieR: Automata came out last year. A player takes on the role of a kind-hearted young man who will stop at nothing to protect his little sister Yonah in this action-adventure game. The partnership between the two brands, which had been disclosed in a YouTube video around two months ago, is now official.
Players may make Maverick the main character of NieR Replicant beginning on November 21 by purchasing the Maverick Bundle. His M4 GS and AR-15.50 assault rifles and 1911 TACOPS pistol all have NieR decals. The Grimoire Weiss, the talking book from Replicant that guides the main character, also makes an appearance in the Siege teaser. The trailer doesn’t explicitly state it, but the leaked footage shows that the Grimoire Weiss weapon charm will be playable.
Despite this, the video ends on a cryptic note, with a shot of boots and the words “a YoRHa soldier is coming…. Glory to humanity!” The shoes are instantly recognisable as 2B’s from NieR: Automata to any NieR gamer. At the Siege Season 4 reveal panel, Ubisoft has promised to show off even more NieR-related content, so fans are hoping that 2B will make an appearance as well. The playable character 2B first debuted in Soulcalibur 6, and he has since made cameo appearances as a skin in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, Gravity Rush 2, and Babylon’s Fall.
In addition to a new terrain (Nighthaven Labs) and a new defensive operator (Havana) from Colombia, the next season (Operation Solar Raid) will also include a new character (Solar). New rank and progression adjustments, as well as cross-play and cross-progression with Rainbow Six Siege, are among the improvements coming to the Ranked 2.0 system in the game. Console users will also have the option to personalise their controls and get an upgrade to their battle pass.
Multiplayer games like Rainbow Six Siege have a tough time staying fresh over time, but Ubisoft has done a good job of it by regularly updating the game with new content like operators, maps, and even unusual collaborations. Ash, the operator, has already been transformed into Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft, while Zofia, the player, has evolved into Resident Evil’s Jill Valentine. Skins by Kaoru Sayama for Hibana and Goro Majima and the popular Kazuma Kiryu for Echo brought the Yakuza series into the mix, while Fuze and Doc were reimagined as Rick and Morty.
