All New Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Operators Revealed, Including the Infinite Warfare Skin

While the first season of DLC for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is almost ready for release, players have already found ways to get their hands on some of the game’s upcoming content, such as the many new operator skins, before their official release. Just like its predecessor, Modern Warfare 2 lets players take control of a vast cast of characters, many of whom will get new outfits as part of Season 1.

While there is currently a sizable pool of operators in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, that pool will become much larger in future updates. Season 1 appears to vastly increase the game’s cosmetics library, with a huge selection of operator skins promising to give players more variety in their multiplayer Call of Duty experiences.

Some players have found that, in advance of the November 16 release of Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 content, it is possible to glitch into a fully unlocked game lobby that grants instant access to a wide variety of brand-new operator skins. There are thousands of new cosmetic items to collect in Season 1; some may be available only via the battle pass, while others may be part of special microtransaction packages. Notable instances include, but are not limited to, operators of the Shadow Company and the previously revealed world-class soccer players.

In particular, a new skin for Gus is coming out, and it appears to be the source of the leaked Infinite Warfare pack for Modern Warfare 2. For fans of the “tacticool” style, it’s good news that Infinity Ward didn’t simply re-use the ETH.3N bot model from Infinite Warfare but instead designed an entirely new combat suit based on the character for Modern Warfare 2. In addition, players have uncovered a few new weapon blueprints that look like they could be part of the ETH.3N pack, and which are reminiscent of the futuristic weapons featured in Infinite Warfare.

It’s worth noting that the leaked Modern Warfare 2 soccer operators may also be used as playable characters in the game. Overall, the majority of the new skins look quite realistic, fitting in nicely with the game’s overall style. For the time being, it does not appear that this should be a major concern; however, it is still possible that MW2 and Warzone 2 will end up getting some truly out-there designs such as King Kong and Godzilla in the future.

Of course, Season 1 content isn’t the only thing that might pique the interest of Modern Warfare 2 players. Although no official patch notes have been released as of yet, it appears that the game has also received a few minor but crucial UI updates (such as an updated camo selection menu).
