Minecraft Player Builds Impressive Docks Inspired by the Game Stray
A player of BlueTwelve Studio’s cat adventure game Stray has united two apparently unrelated IPs by developing a docks area in Minecraft. The fact that Minecraft is still hugely popular 11 years after its introduction is a testament to the game’s enduring appeal, which is in no little part due to the fact that players may create almost anything they can imagine.

The release by BlueTwelve Studio, on the other hand, is a somewhat linear experience that saw a spike in popularity in July 2022. One reason for this is because PS Plus members who subscribed to the Extra or Premium levels at launch were able to play Stray right away. Success may be credited to several factors, including the game’s unique blend of exciting gameplay, a deep atmosphere, immersive landscapes, memorable soundtrack, and a tabby cat as the main character.
A Reddit user who goes by the handle Junopii in the blocky world of Minecraft has posted a series of photographs of a pier they built. Some of the images, like the one of the kiosk with the bar stools lined up in front of the counter, seem like they were taken directly from the adventure game Stray that served the inspiration for the series. The last picture is the one that Stray fans will know immediately; it depicts three cats, one of which is orange and has white paws like the game’s protagonist. The photograph also depicts the air conditioners that the cat utilises as perches.
The other pictures may not be instantly reminiscent of BlueTwelve’s game, but they clearly illustrate where they got their ideas from. Almost everywhere you look in Stray, there are tall structures with hidden ledges and boxes for your cat to perch on. Junopii’s adaptation captures the game’s distinctive upward-bound mood while excluding the game’s usual gloomy and neon elements.
The events of Stray occur in the fictional Walled City 99, a safe haven constructed in the aftermath of a global catastrophe. The player takes control of an orange cat that, after being separated from its family, must find its way back through the city’s maze of streets and rooftops. The journey is impeded by a variety of species, some of whom are hostile, and filled with fascinating machines that have become sentient in the absence of people.
Many different Minecraft creations have been influenced by other intellectual properties, such as video games, movies, and novels. The free globe of Mojang’s sandbox game allows players to create practically anything, from Star Wars to The Exorcist to Indiana Jones. The 2D panels of the 2015 indie videogame Undertale are being transformed into a vibrant 3D world by one Minecraft player, and this is just one of the many of stunning structures players have created over the years.
