There have been 17 significant upgrades to Minecraft over the last 11 years, each of which has included a plethora of new blocks, items, creatures, and biomes. Although Minecraft 1.20 won’t arrive until 2022, it seems to be worth the wait, since these upgrades often come out at least once a year.

In the last several weeks, Mojang has conducted its Minecraft Live event, where it has announced and teased all of its forthcoming projects. The impending 1.20 update to Minecraft was shown in great depth, and the gameplay for Minecraft Legends was also unveiled. Bamboo wood, new signpost and bookshelf blocks, and updated creator capabilities are coming to Minecraft with the 1.20 update.
Most noteworthy, though, is that the desert biome will be updated in Minecraft 1.20, including new blocks and critters like camels. However, Mojang shouldn’t stop there; the desert is home to many more species that would make interesting and useful enemies in Minecraft.

Though the Sniffer, a much requested aggressive mob, will be included in Minecraft 1.20, camels, a more mellow passive mob, will also be added. Camel mounts serve primarily as a mode of transportation for the player and their possessions, functioning similarly to other horse types. Camels, unlike horses, can’t be outfitted with armour, but they do have some other benefits. Camel riding doesn’t need a saddle, and camels have a sprint ability that may be utilised in midair to drive the player ahead 12 blocks.
Adding camels to Minecraft is a fantastic idea, and it might open the door for other desert-dwelling creatures. Some of the most well-known desert animals are also among the deadliest in the world, which might encourage the appearance of more hostile enemy hordes.

The most blatant omissions are snakes and scorpions, with rattlesnakes and hairy scorpions serving as concrete real-world examples that Mojang might model its additions after. Coyotes might also be effective as hostile mobs, albeit they would act too closely to wolves.
On the other side, Minecraft’s desert also has lots of harmless creatures that pose no danger to players. One of the nicest choices is a meerkat, since they can hide underground and peep out with their big, wide eyes. It would be lovely if giant tortoises lumbered about the revived desert biome of Minecraft. The players may also benefit from seeing dung beetles, who would be able to watch their ball drift serenely over the dune.
Bringing exotic animals into Minecraft’s desert habitat may open the door to some exciting new features in the game. Many desert snakes and scorpions are poisonous, thus players who are bitten may have to make an antidote out of anything they can find.
