Scaramouche has played an important role in the continuing Sumeru plot and as one of the new Genshin Impact bosses. Before he can join the playable cast, he will presumably undergo a number of transformations, one of which being the addition of an Anemo Vision.

One of the most reliable leakers, hxg haitham, claims that the future character, known as “Wanderer” in the last live broadcast event for the next Genshin Impact version 3.3, would be able to have their name changed by players. After joining the notorious Fatui organisation and becoming one of the Eleven Harbingers, this figure, who had previously been destined to become the Electro Archon, supposedly took the name Scaramouche. Since the game’s cutscenes will likely continue to refer to the character as Wanderer, it is yet unknown how this new renaming function will impact the overall plot.

There’s a possibility this mechanism won’t be utilised for anything except the Serenitea Pot mode, a special house-building option that was introduced in version 1.5, according to other leakers. There was a suggestion that Wanderer will make a switch to the positive side of the plot in the official trailer that was displayed during the Special Program event. You can see that the updated version of the figure is wearing a completely new clothing, complete with an Anemo Vision that gives him command over the element of wind.

Since Xiao’s inclusion in the game’s playable roster in version 1.3, he will be the first DPS Anemo character to be added to the game. Using his unique Elemental Skill, Hanega: Song of the Wind, Wanderer is able to soar above his foes and do more damage than they are capable of. To maintain his strength in this form, he eats a special stamina bar, making him an invaluable companion on his Teyvat travels.

Due to his significance in the plot, the new Anemo user is likely to be one of Genshin Impact’s most powerful protagonists. Due to the varied boosts he gets from Song of the Wind’s interaction with other elements, Wanderer is poised to be a very adaptable DPS unit.
