After its first release in 2014, the survival horror video game Five Nights at Freddy’s quickly acquired fans throughout the globe. After its initial success, Five Nights at Freddy’s spawned eight more games, including the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach (2021), many spin-offs, and a book series that delves further into the franchise’s backstory. A live-action film adaption is also being produced by Blumhouse.

The cast of Five Nights at Freddy’s, centred on several iterations of Freddy Fazbear, is diverse and entertainingly scary. That’s why Pillow Pets collaborated with international licencing agency Striker Entertainment to produce the $34.99 Freddy Fazbear Pillow Pet. The official website for the product claims that it is a dual-function cushion that can be transformed into a lovable Freddy plush for gamers of all ages. It’s a great addition to the numerous Disney and Nickelodeon character pillows already on the market. The Pillow Pet has not yet been given a release date, but interested parties may sign up for a newsletter to be alerted when it becomes available.

The Freddy Fazbear Pillow Pet seems to be a hit with fans of the Five Nights at Freddy’s video game series. One respondent expressed excitement about getting one for their children. There were also rumours that Freddy could come to life after dark, which was a source of amusement for some. The Pillow Pet’s hue offended several people, especially the fact that its ears are a lighter brown than the rest of its body.

But unfortunately, Chica and Bonnie from Five Nights at Freddy’s aren’t available as Pillow Pets just yet. The company hasn’t said whether they’ll be making more video game–inspired Pillow Pets. It’s also possible that if Freddy Fazbear is successful, Striker Entertainment will use them again for other merchandise. Meanwhile, with Striker’s assistance, developer Scottgames will be able to expand its Five Nights at Freddy’s goods programme, which will give fans access to new gear, costumes, prop reproductions, and more.

The contentious departure of Five Nights at Freddy’s developer Scott Cawthon has also contributed to the game’s increased popularity. Despite the lack of information regarding a new game after Security Breach, Cawthon has said that the series would continue with a new director. Fans of the franchise may take comfort in the fact that they can cuddle up with a Freddy Fazbear Pillow Pet regardless of what the future holds for the series.
