An artist going by the name OJ Designs on Reddit uploaded a photo of a drawing they had created. A Cleanrot Knight from Elden Ring, infested with Scarlet Rot, as shown in the artwork. The sickness is clearly developing on the knight’s weaponry, including his sword and spear, as it bursts through the armour. The Scarlet Rot has also infested the artist’s stunning depiction of a sword. Considering the knight’s predicament, the painting is beautiful, if a little dark and unsettling.
In recent years, OJ Designs’s artwork has become somewhat more well-known. An overwhelming majority of Redditors agree that the work is fantastic, with some even drawing parallels to the Boar God from the Princess Mononoke cartoon. In addition, some people thought that the Cleanrot Knights, as the player approached Elden Ring’s Malenia, should become increasingly infected, like in OJ Designs’s concept art. When asked if they take commissions, the artist responded that they do not at the moment offer physical prints, but that they do accept digital commissions. The Cleanrot Knights in the art of OJ Designs are a fascinating take on a classic villain and would be a terrifying adversary.
