A Cyberpunk 2077 player has found and detailed the location of a famous weapon hidden inside the game. Video games often include secret weapons and equipment, such as the foam Hand Cannon from Dead Space 2 and the Golden Gun from GoldenEye 007. These weapons might be hard to find at times, but they’re usually just out of sight. According to this description, the player has discovered a location in CD Projekt Red’s open-world game that can only be accessed via the use of exploits.

Any player of Cyberpunk 2077 knows that the game has a wide variety of weaponry, some of which are really original. It’s hard to complete the main goal and all of the optional ones without engaging in a gunfight, even with a stealthy playing. A variety of weapons are available, which is fortunate, however it seems that the designer either overlooked one or purposefully left it off.

Reddit user OSHlN has posted a screenshot from their Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough, showcasing the game’s iconic Johnny’s Revolver pistol, as noted by The Gamer. The player was able to revisit Night City between Acts 1 and 2 thanks to the “FreeFly (Noclip)” mod, which allowed them to tinker in a cutscene involving Johnny Silverhand. At that point, they went up to a vendor who was selling weapons and located the aforementioned legendary weapon. It seems that the revolver may be obtained by console commands, however OSHlN speculates that this may be the first occasion the secret weapon has been discovered without the use of such instructions.

Many players of Cyberpunk 2077 take the game further by modifying it, adding their own ideas to CDPR’s base design. Many other modifications may be made to the base game, such as adding new features, changing the visual style, or enabling the player to fly over the area in search of hidden things.

Regular updates to Cyberpunk 2077 have helped the science fiction role-playing game recover from a rocky start almost two years ago. What was formerly a flawed product (to the point that Sony pulled it from the PlayStation marketplace) has now received extensive TLC from CD Projekt Red. Compared to the position it was in at the end of 2020, it has much improved, and it will be exciting to see if anybody else can crack its code using vulnerabilities like those shown by OSHlN.
