Many console gamers of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 have expressed their appreciation for the game’s newfound FOV customization options. The second instalment in the Call of Duty series, Warzone 2, was published for consoles and personal computers on November 16. Warzone 2 expands upon its predecessor by introducing novel elements and refining existing ones.

Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 are similar to one other in that they both use the same software and may be purchased together. If you only want to play Modern Warfare 2, you don’t have to download Call of Duty: Warzone 2 as you did with the first game. Activision has been criticised for the large file sizes of Call of Duty games, so this change is welcome news. A key component appears to be included in the box with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One copies of Warzone 2.

A screenshot of the Call of Duty: Warzone 2 menu with the new FOV slider enabled was uploaded by user Alter771 on Reddit. This screenshot is taken from the PlayStation 5 version of Warzone 2, and it demonstrates how the field of view can be adjusted from the default of 80 degrees to a maximum of 120 degrees. You can get an idea of how much more of the screen the player will be able to see thanks to this improvement in the right-hand image. However, a warning is placed directly below it, stating that altering the FOV from its default value may cause frame rate drops and other visual glitches.

The addition of a field-of-view (FOV) slider was sorely missed in Call of Duty: Warzone, and players appear to be very pleased with the update. A few gamers are interested to see how this changes their gameplay, while others insist it won’t make much of a difference. Some users argue that the value should be more dependent on the user’s TV size and how far they are sitting from the screen, while others argue that increasing the FOV to 120 will not magically improve their gameplay abilities.

It seemed odd that Call of Duty: Warzone lacked a field-of-view (FOV) slider, a common feature in modern console FPSes. Members of the development team have addressed this need multiple times, demonstrating that they are cognizant of player expectations. Developers of Warzone explained why there is no field-of-view (FOV) slider in the console version: it could cause bugs on older consoles and give players on newer consoles an unfair advantage.
