The attachment-tuning option has been reinstated in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, according to a recent announcement by developer Infinity Ward. After it began triggering crashes, engineers deactivated the functionality. The feature that enables additional customization of maxed-out weaponry was originally seen in Modern Warfare 2, the first game in the series to include it.

The newest instalment in the acclaimed Call of Duty series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was developed and published by Activision. In the single-player campaign, players assume the role of Task Force 141, a special unit tasked with eliminating terrorists and drug traffickers along the southern United States border.

After an Early Access period in which the game was playable by a single player exclusively, multiplayer was made available with the game’s release on October 28. Both the classic capture-the-flag game, Domination, and the newer Prisoner Rescue are available in Modern Warfare 2.

The attachment tuning tool in Modern Warfare 2 was removed only one day after the game’s release. The firm said that certain users’ games were being crashed and that more investigation was required before the function could be made available again. Currently, all necessary investigation has been completed, and updates have been released. According to a tweet from the developer, an article detailing the problem and the new functionality will be published later today.

The release of Modern Warfare 2 hasn’t been without its share of issues. This seems to be the first significant update since launch that addresses important features, while Infinity Ward has given several minor fixes for vulnerabilities and the like. One of the main additions to the new Gunsmith 2.0 in Modern Warfare 2 is the return of a previously removed capability.

With Modern Warfare 2’s addition of “gun tuning,” players may adjust the precision of their weapons’ attachments. To begin, you’ll need to grind the weapon’s progression to its maximum level, at which point the function will become available. A player’s recoil stability, targeting stability, accuracy, and so on may all be adjusted using this function. Adjusting one part of the gun will have repercussions on the others, making fine-tuning a game of compromise.

Although the game had some difficulties soon after its release, people nevertheless flocked to it in droves. The first weekend sales for Modern Warfare 2 were the highest for any Call of Duty game, and if the game’s success continues, it might eventually outsell the original Modern Warfare.
