Battlefield Mobile Open Beta Has Started in Select Regions
The open beta for the newest Battlefield game, Battlefield Mobile, has started in a number of different countries. Battlefield Mobile had already undergone closed beta testing, but this is the first open beta.

Battlefield Mobile Open Beta Has Started in Select Regions
In April of 2021, Electronic Arts announced that Battlefield Mobile will be coming out in 2022. But this open beta is not a global release. For the first time, the Battlefield series is expanding into the mobile market, and it has been revealed that Battlefield Mobile is not a mobile version but rather a brand-new game developed with mobile and tablet play in mind.
At now, open beta testing is available only in certain areas. Philippine, Indonesian, Thai, Malaysian, and Singaporean areas are all now active. However, the Battlefield website’s frequently asked questions indicate that more areas will be added to the open beta as time goes on. For some locations, pre-registration is also accessible on the Battlefield Mobile Google Play website. Similarly to the Fall 2021 testing sessions for Battlefield Mobile, which began in the Philippines and Indonesia, these open beta tests will be held in those countries.
When you consider that Call of Duty Mobile has been fairly popular and that the Call of Duty brand is usually regarded to be the main competitor of the Battlefield franchise, Electronic Arts’ entry into the mobile gaming market with Battlefield Mobile is not surprising at all. As unusual given it may seem, launching Battlefield Mobile’s open beta in Southeast Asian nations initially makes a lot of sense, as mobile gaming is quite popular in those areas.
Battlefield Mobile might be a nice opportunity for the brand to rebuild goodwill with the playerbase, especially because Battlefield 2024 has not been as as popular with fans as prior editions in the series. Leaked gameplay video for Battlefield Mobile confirms the reintroduction of the iconic level Grand Bazaar and the game’s use of the familiar Battlefield class and loadout system. To win over returning viewers, the new instalment has to stick to the formula of the previous films.
Some Battlefield fans will always be content with the traditional console and PC versions of the game. The vast mobile market in Southeast Asia is an untapped resource, and this game has a lot of potential to attract both new and veteran players.
