Apex Legends Dev Reveals Hotfix Coming for Frustrating Reload Bug in Season 15
Apex Legends features a bizarre glitch that prevents players from reloading if they are standing in a doorway, and Respawn Entertainment has verified that they are working on a solution for this issue. As with any online game, Apex Legends has had its share of unusual bugs and problems. Despite extensive quality assurance testing prior to the release of a patch, a big online battle royale game like Apex Legends is nevertheless subject to unexpected issues. However, it is a peculiarity of Apex Legends that players cannot reload when standing in an open door.

Apex Legends Dev Reveals Hotfix Coming for Frustrating Reload Bug in Season 15
The issue has been present since the release of the update that included Season 15: Eclipse for Apex Legends. Along with the new Legend Catalyst, Season 15 also debuted a brand-new map called Broken Moon. The doors in Apex Legends have not been altered in any way with the update, at least not in a way that has been made public, although Catalyst may use her skills to fortify existing doors and construct whole new ones. That is to say, there is a hint that, beginning with Season 15, doors in Apex Legends may act erratically.
As a consequence, there’s a weird problem that prevents certain Apex Legends players from reloading while they’re in doorways. Some players may experience this, and it’s not always repeatable, but it seems to just affect those that play using a controller. If you try to use the regular reload button, you’ll get a bug since the game thinks you want it to interact with the door. Players have claimed success in resolving the issue by either pressing a different button or stepping away from the entryway, though this is clearly not ideal during a combat.
This issue extends beyond only requiring reloads. Additionally, some Apex Legends players have reported problems with treasure boxes that drop in doors. Apex Legends gamers advise against doing any significant actions in a doorway, such as crouching, tossing a grenade, or anything else. Having the action consumed by the doorway is something that the players may come to regret.
However, a hotfix will be available soon. Senior producer Josh Medina has said that an update would be released “soon” for Apex Legends, but has provided no other details. Yet, because Medina calls it a “hotfix patch,” it may either be something Respawn issues on the servers or a legitimate patch that requires time for certification. No matter what happens, gamers will need to remain patient.
Many participants blame Catalyst for the problem. Somehow, the intricacy of doorways does appear to increase as a result of her ability to strengthen and replace damaged doors. Players of Apex Legends should be wary about where they reload their weapons until developer Respawn works on a solution.
